I expected better from this author as I have most of her books from way back when, have all her books from the wings series and her witches series and more.
I could't get into this story and it makes me question if she's a must have author. I also couldn't get into the previous book in the series. I will be much more careful in the future when buying any more books from this author.

I am very pleased with my purchase. I recommend Maggie Shayne to anyone who like vampire reading. I received my order when specified.
All of Shayne's books are a must have in my Library. I can hardly wait for her next book to release!
Maggie Shayne writes very well. Her stories are very interesting and exciting. Everything she does is very well written and does not go all over the place. It keeps you on the edge of your seat waiting to see what happens next.

The book had a great plot and I do have to agree with one of the other reviewers, they characters licked their lips so much, everyone should have chapped lips. Besides that, I enjoyed the book. Maybe because I listened to it on audible, it gave the book more than just sitting there and reading it on paper. It made me upset with Vlad did not know what he wanted.

Overall, I gave the book 4 stars. I could not give it the 5 I wanted, unlike a lot of people who read books, you have to understand that it takes time, knowledge, and again time to write a book and every writer, including myself, needs to know the truth, but not just a bad score because of repetitive or something different. That's the point of writing.
This book was fabulous. I loved everything about it. It was great reading about Dracula in a new perspective. I've only ever read the original Dracula novel, and wasn't expecting this to be as good as it was. It was great to see him in a different light. And I enjoyed how it was hard to tell which lady he was going to pick in the book. It kept you guessing.
I already own this on paper back. Had to have this on my kindle! Love this story. I like the twist and turns in this as well. Like vampire romance, you will like this. So many surprises.
