5 MISBEHAVED STARS!!! I wish I would of had a Mr. James in high school, I might have paid more attention or misbehaved for detention. This story has everything I look for in a great book, angst, hot teach, sexy sassy student and love. I loved seeing Pierce and Remi's story play out, so sexy and a lot of love which becomes a page turner for me. This book is a must read for any teacher/student romance reader.

Student teacher romance with more angst and secrets all taking place in a private school in Nevada (Vegas)

Remington is a girl living in Vegas from the wrong side of the tracks. She's smart, attractive and has been dealt a crappy hand in life. She lives with her dad who's never around and her step brother who's not so much her step brother anymore and kind of creepy. He has made Remi HIS and he thinks he owns her.
But when Remi starts her new school her senior year, she's hoping this is her way out. She's always wanted to get away from "home" and become something. There she meets her debate teacher, Mr Pierce James and he's one hard teacher. He pushes his students and doesn't take any crap. And on day one, he sends his new student to the principal's office for her shoe wear. You're at a private school and you must act and dress accordingly, apparently.
Both of the characters have secrets and things they are trying to hide from everyone around them. Unfortunately Remi can't do such a good job of one of her secrets. Her "brother". He's always around and trying to hurt Remi in any way he can. Although there is a love there that transcends his more evil ways. He's more emotionally abusive than anything, but when things start getting physical, that's when Mr James steps in. And he can't deny their chemistry.

"She's an innocent wrapped in a body made up of every sin I've ever wanted to commit. A good girl with bad intentions."

Although I did enjoy the taboo story, I was hoping for more 'proof' of Remi's academic prowess. It was stated she got in to the private school with her top grades and I never got that from her. She seemed more to be the pretty girl that was there to entice men and push their buttons. Nothing wrong with that, just make the story go accordingly.

"I will misbehave until I break him."

The story WAS taboo and it had characters that made the plot line work with twists and connections. But the love story was just that. Two broke souls looking to reach out and they connected. Pierce and Remi connected on another level. I didn't look at them as a student and teacher. There was something more visceral going on. Sometimes age doesn't matter and sometimes love isn't always black and white. THAT was this story. Secret, lies, and looking for answers to things you lost. Not perfect but the story worked for these characters.

"There is no right or wrong in this world. No black and white. Remington and I live in the gray area. Logic is pointless. Gut feeling is dangerous. The only way to know whether you did the right or wrong thing is to ride it out and see it to the end."
This is not the first book I have read from author Charleigh Rose, and for good reason. She never disappoints.
The teacher student romance was hot!! Where was Mr. James when I was in High school? (Sigh...)
The novel setting is non other than sin city Las Vegas. Where the main character Remington lives on the wrong side of town with step brother Ryan and her dad Dan. Dan is always on the road, so it's been always Ryan and Remington fending for one another.
Remington gets an opportunity to attend West Point High, an elite school. The chance to leave Nevada and have a better life is in her grasp.
But life has never been that easy for Remington.. Ryan has always been their for Remington her rock, but lately he changed becoming crazy obsessed with her and not wanting to let her go.
Things even get harder when Mr. James is introduced, Remington's attractive debate teacher.
The attraction between the two is sizzling hot!! I imagined the teacher seducing the student, but no Remi had the rains on this seduction.
Misbehaved is a must read I devoured this book and wanted more!! This book had my emotions on a rollercoaster. I was amazed, annoyed, hot and bothered, to teary eyed, and finally my HEA ❤️. I couldn't get enough!
Misbehaved by Charleigh Rose reminds me of a piece of cake I once ate.

My co-workers raved about this baker who made the most delicious cakes. They knew of my love for baked goods so they ordered me a cake for my birthday from this baker. When they brought the cake to me, it was beautifully decorated and I waited with anticipation to get a slice. The cake was visually appealing and I could smell the lemon ( it was a lemon chiffon cake). Two of my senses were appeased and I couldn't wait to taste it! I took the first bite and it wasn't good. Maybe it will get better with another bite? After eating more than a few bites, the cake wasn't going to get any better. Despite the horrible taste, I felt obligated to take more bites because my co-workers went out of their way to get this overpriced cake and I didn't want to disappoint them.

Misbehaved is like that cake. I wasn't wowed after reading the first chapter. I have read plenty of books that started that started flat, only to be blown away with preceding chapters. It wasn't the case with Misbehaved.

After reading a few more chapters, I knew it wasn't going to get any better.
But since I purchased the dang book and the reviews were highly rated, I had hoped that MAYBE it would improve.....it didn't.

The story line is compelling. A beautiful teenage girl on the wrong side of the tracks with a dysfunctional family, gets a scholarship at a prestigious private high school falls in love with her handsome broody teacher.

I was led to believe from the reviews that this was a beautiful slow burn romance with a strong female character. Unfortunately, the book read more like a bad porn. The dialogues were flat. There was no slow burn romance - it was instantaneous combustion and that's not a good thing.

Heroines can be strong, feminine, and sexy, without being trashy. Sorry to say, that's how I felt Remington came across.

Read A Different Blue from Amy Harmon. The story premise is very similar to Misbehaved except it was executed more beautifully. The dialogues and characters were believable and more three dimensional than the flat characters portrayed in Misbehaved.

I leaned a lesson with this book. Life is too damn short to make yourself read a book that is going nowhere AND....don't ever take a second bite of a really bad cake.
